Suzuki’s all-new 2023 V-STROM 800DE brings any-road ability to the mid-size Adventure category. Ride anywhere, propelled by a fully new 776cc parallel twin engine in a chassis with the most ground clearance of any V-Strom thanks to long, fully adjustable suspension, plus spoke-style wheels led by the 21-inch hoop up front shod with the latest Dunlop ADV tires.

 

The new 776cc DOHC parallel twin engine employs 270-degree crankshaft timing with the industry-exclusive Suzuki Cross Balancer to deliver a smooth, torque-rich experience. This new machine is ideal for Adventure riders who desire more power than a 650cc engine can deliver and does so in an economical and reliable way.

 

The new rugged steel backbone frame takes advantage of the engine’s compact size, resulting in a chassis that is nimble and stable on paved roads or on dirt trails. The long, inverted fork is fully adjustable, as is the rear shock absorber that employs a remote, hand-operated hydraulic spring preload adjuster so tuning for a passenger or cargo takes just seconds.

 

A new, color 5-inch TFT LCD multifunction instrument panel provides the rider access and on-the-fly control over the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) suite of advanced electronic control systems that include the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, the Suzuki Traction Control System, and Suzuki’s Bi-Directional Quick Shift system. The V-STROM 800DE’s S.I.R.S. features a new GRAVEL Traction Control* mode and rear ABS** that can be switch off for off-road riding.

 

Ride all day in comfort and control thanks to a wide, vibration-damping tapered handlebar, strong seat, and wide footpegs. An adjustable windscreen sits above a pair of stacked, compact Mono-focus LED headlights that throw out big-time illumination and the styling is unmistakably V-Strom with the Dakar Rally-style beak that was developed by Suzuki. *The Traction Control System is not a substitute for the rider’s throttle control. It cannot prevent loss of traction due to excessive speed when the rider enters a turn and/or applies the brakes. Traction control cannot prevent the front wheel from losing grip.

 

**Depending on road surface conditions, such as wet, loose, or uneven roads, braking distance for an ABS-equipped vehicle may be longer than for a vehicle not equipped with ABS. ABS cannot prevent wheel skidding caused by braking while cornering. Please drive carefully and do not overly rely on ABS.

    • Suzuki's new parallel twin 776cm3 DOHC, 4-valve-per-cylinder engine combines smooth, controllable power from low rpm with the pleasant feeling of free-revving performance through to the high end. It is torquey and powerful, but also easy to control, with smooth throttle response and an inviting nature that provides a satisfying riding experience, whether enjoying a solo run or carrying a passenger.
    • It is a slim powerplant with compact front-rear dimensions that help achieve the most effective chassis geometry for performance gains.
    • Its 270-degree crankshaft design delivers a smooth ride, plenty of torque, positive traction, and a pleasing rumble and engine note similar to that of a V-twin engine.
    • It also introduces the Suzuki Cross Balancer. The first biaxial primary balancer on a production motorcycle to position its two balancers at 90° to the crankshaft*, this patented** mechanism suppresses vibration to contribute to smooth operation, while its design also helps realize a lighter powerplant that is more compact from front to rear.

    • Cooling system inlet control helps maintain consistent engine temperature and eliminate rough idle while warming the engine in cold weather.

    • The 2-into-1 exhaust system features a dual-stage catalytic converter inside the collector that helps satisfy Euro 5 emissions standards, as well as a long, upswept muffler design.
